Odd / Even
- What it is
- How many of the five white balls are odd versus even in a draw.
- How it is calculated
- For each draw we count the odd numbers (0 to 5). The 'expected' column uses the hypergeometric formula, which gives the exact chance of each split when five numbers are drawn at random.
- How to read it
- Splits such as 3 odd : 2 even are the most common simply because there are more ways to produce them. All-odd or all-even draws are rare, and they still happen.
- What it can't tell you
- Picking a 'balanced' mix does not raise the chance that your ticket wins; any specific set of five numbers is equally likely.
- Common misunderstanding
- 'A draw with all odd numbers can't happen.' It can. It is just less common than a mix.
This site does not guarantee winning. Lottery draws are random and past results do not predict future results. Every chart here describes the past. It cannot raise your chances of winning.
